Be a coach! ....EASY money!

OK. So you've bought P90X. You've started the program. You're getting results from the workouts. Now what.

Make some money while you're doing it, for goodness sake!!

I signed up to be a beachbody coach back in April of 2009. I was just checking my earnings (to see if I was really going to continue on this "coaching" thing), and I've earned $244.16! In 2 months! It may not seem like much, but I haven't done anything! Well...other than working out and telling others about what has worked for me, during this whole P90X thing...easy. OK. Wait. It does cost me $14.95 a month (for BeachBody to maintain my website), so I guess you have to subtract that from my earnings...just to be fair. But still, I haven't done anything. AND, I get 25% off of any products or supplements I order (like the P90X recovery drink???). So. If anyone is interested in looking into the whole "coaching" thing, check it out here. You can also go here or here. "Here" is much easier than spelling out the entire web address! Oh and check out the video from BeachBody here! :O)

Anyway, keep up the workouts everyone! If you're interested in becoming a coach (or just have questions), shoot me an email! And if I'm not signed up as your coach, go here and click on "sign up with this coach"! I'd love to help you reach your fitness goals!

Oh and by the way, just since I began getting this post ready, I've gained 2 more customers! Sooooo, my 'total' earnings just went over $300...for doing absolutely nothing!

I'm still here!!

OK, OK...I get it. You guys miss me. You really miss me. What. Is it my dashing good looks? My charming wit? My absolutely awe-inspiring stories? Well...OK. Here's what's been going on with me:

Robb and Barb came for a WONDERFUL visit. We went camping for 4 days. Celebrated their daughter's (Meg) birthday. Drank lots of beer, and ate a lot of food that wasn't exactly P90X worthy. Robb and I did agree at one point during the camping trip, that before each beer, we had to do at least 10 pull ups. We used a tree branch..it was AWESOME! ...that is until DOCTOR Rob injured his thumb, and couldn't do the pull ups any longer... (sorry Rob. Had to say it!) :O) Click here to see the pics from the trip!

On another note...just 2 days before we left for that camping trip, I sold my 2001 Chevy Crew Cab, pickup truck. Yeah...so, we were leaving to go camping, and I had nothing to pull our camper!! It was a bit stressful, but never fear: My good friend Robb (who is also doing P90X with his wife now), found me a nice new (to me) ride! I'm now the proud owner of a 2000 Ford (yep, Ford!) Excursion. This thing has "GI-NORMOUS" tires, and with a 6" lift, looks like a TANK! I LOVE IT! Jeremy?? I think you'd be proud of me! As one of my buddies said, "Hey, every family needs a good urban assault vehicle"...love it.

OK...well I started typing this yesterday, and I'm typing more today...so, I'm gonna stop here. Still doing the "X" (although not quite as regularly), still eating good, still at 188 lbs....I'll try and post more soon! I actually have some more to say about the whole 'coaching' thing! ...stay tuned! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 40 - Legs/back and AbRipper X (ugh!)

Wow. I felt like I had never done this workout before, last night!! I've never really liked this workout, but I couldn't keep my balance, my knee hurt, my motivation sucked, and this morning??...yeah, SORE as HELL-O!!!! Now, on a good note, I'm sore in all the right places. I just have to whine a bit, 'cuz I really hate legs and back (...but I LOVE it!). Then..on the other side of the room, we find Alana bouncing and squatting like no body's business! She's ALWAYS been able to kick my butt at leg workouts!

So word has been getting around within my industry (work) here in the Denver metro area. Apparently, sales reps (among the different Durable Medical Equipment companies) talk! I had met with a sales rep about a month ago, and she was asking how I had made such a drastic change in my body. So we ended up talking P90X. Then yesterday, another sales rep from a different company, came in just to talk about P90X. He had already completed the program and was wondering, now what??? So, we talked a bit about the P90X+ program. One of the things he mentioned about P90X: he has always been a 'runner', but had never been able to attain the body he wanted. Even as 'active' as he was. He said that P90X was "just what he needed" to get him going in the right direction. He also mentioned that he has NEVER been in as good of shape, as he was when he finished the program....hmmm....sounds familiar!

P90X is NOT a gimmick. P90X works! If you're interested in learning more, click here! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 39 - Cardio X

I still can't believe how SORE I am after hitting chest/shoulders/triceps from the other night! WOW! It seems like all the moves in this cardio workout were just stretching me out. Growing the muscles. Felt GREAT! Alana was back working out with me last night, which DEFINITELY helps on the motivation/competition front! You know..."up's" the intensity BIG TIME!

Not to sound conceited or anything, but it is SOOOOO weird to be in this healthy lifestyle. For years I've eaten whatever I wanted, been pretty much IN-active (or when I tried physical activity, I would suck more air than a fish out of water!), and lifted weights, thinking I was healthy and exercising. WRONG. The P90X program has shown me what a true healthy lifestyle is. During this past long holiday weekend, I ate what I wanted (and drank what I wanted too!), did a little bit of activity, yet when I look in the mirror, none of it shows! AND I still feel great! I STRONGLY encourage everyone who hasn't given P90X a try, to do it! It WILL change your life!! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38- Camping...and Chest/Shoulders/Tris

So....Memorial Day weekend. Opening day for camping season! We headed out to Heaton Bay, which is located about an hour from where I live, in Frisco, CO. It's a great campground just on the bank of Lake Dillon Reservoir. The weather wasn't the greatest, as it would rain for 10 minutes. Stop for 20 minutes. Rain for 20 minutes. Stop for 10 minutes...this went on ALL weekend. We did see the sun for a grand total of about 22 minutes. I think we even shot a few pictures while the sun was out! We had fun fishing (didn't catch anything...but is that really what fishing is about anyway??). I came up with the bright idea to send all of the kids on a scavenger hunt. So we made a list of 14 items for the kids to go in search of. The idea was to have a little adult (i.e. quiet) time. Who knew a lady bug would be so easy to find!? And a coin?? We've got such resourceful kids! Here's a few of the pics....don't mind the "date stamp". Forgot to reset the camera after draining the battery...oops!

NOW...We're back in town. At home. No excuses. Ready to BRING IT! Tonight: Chest/Shoulders/Triceps and AbRipper X. Technically, we're in Phase 2, week 6, so I should have one of these workouts under my belt already. However, I don't think I've actually done this workout in a while! I LOVE it!! I was feeling soooo pumped after this workout I was gonna post some pictures. But then I saw Jeremy's 'back' picture. WOW dude. What results....Not to be outdone (and even more so, that no one is awake to take any pics right now), I shot some video of the plyo-push ups being done. This was taken sometime during round one of the "X". I didn't quite hit 14 of those puppies tonight, but I'll be there again soon!

P90X - Round 2, Day 33 - Movie night!

OK. So I'm not gonna beat myself up any more over missing a workout here and there. In fact, I'm not sure why I put "Day xx" above...Don't worry. My motivation hasn't left me. I've just realized (call me slow) that this P90X thing has become a part of me. It's not something you do for 90 days and then say, "OK. I'm done. Now what?"...Although I missed last night, and went to a movie, I looked back at everything I did yesterday. I didn't sit around and do nothing. I was active. I was moving. Going through the first 90 days was just kind of a "wake up" call for me. As Demi Bean and Christina Branson say in their posts, we are now athletes. If you want to learn how to get started transforming your life and lifestyle, contact me.

Now for my movie review: Terminator Salvation. Ehh. It was pretty good. Not the FANTASTIC summer blockbuster I was hoping for, but pretty good. Just hearing the Terminator music alone was well worth the ticket price for me! I'm weird that way. I won't give anything away, but I will tell you Jeremy: wait for the DVD. It'll sound GREAT on your surround sound! I guess the whole movie experience was kinda ruined for me after the movie was over. I returned to my car, to find that it had been broken into, and my $500 Alpine stereo system had been ripped out of the car...along with a $300 Navigation system. Soooo, I spent an extra hour talking with our friendly neighborhood law enforcement officer...Was the movie worth $800??? No.

Off today for a weekend of camping! Have a great holiday weekend everyone!!!

P90X - Round 2, Day 32 - Plyometrics

Well I didn't think I'd get through this one alone. Alana bailed again and opted for sleep. She's trying to fight off whatever cold I had!

I have to give my thanks to my buddy Vince, for motivating me tonight. He came by the house tonight for a bit, and we talked P90X. He wanted to see all of my progress photos that I took (i.e. 30/60/90 days). I showed him our workout area (i.e. the living room!). Showed him our equipment (a few dumbbells). And I showed him how easy it was to track his food intake. He was jazzed. I was jazzed. It seems like a lifetime ago, I was an out of shape, 210 lbs, lazy, unmotivated, beer drinking, Doritos eating guy. WOW...what a difference 90 days can make. He's now on day 3 and feeling better than he ever has! You can too! Check it out here.

So...anyway, I say "Thanks" to Vinnie for getting me through Plyo tonight! I hate it, but I love it!

P90X - Round 2, Day 31 - Back, Biceps and AbRipperX

WOW! What a difference a day makes!! Or is it the antibiotics?? Anyway....I hit this workout HARD tonight! I got caught up on reading all of the posts I've been neglecting (Jeremy, Christina, Demi, Rob and Barb, and MissResa!) and MAN was I ever motivated tonight! Weird thing though...I petered out during the AbRipper portion! Weird. It wasn't my abs that gave out, I just found it hard to breath...relax....I'm a Respiratory Therapist! I'm not gonna kill myself. I just decided it was time to stop. No harm, no foul. Right? After all...I'm technically still sick!

Anyway....here's the "money shot" post workout! I'm trying to be able to host my own show. What show you might ask??????

:O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 30 - STILL Nothing!

OK. Let me just say: Holy CRAP!!!! What's going on here??!!

Girls, thanks for the motivating comments. They've actually rung out in my head, as I'm trying to recover from this crappy cold/sinus infection, whatever it is!! Funny thing is, now that I've gotten my diet back on track, my workouts are suffering!! Alana and I will definitely be working out tonight. I'm feeling a bit better today. Had the antibiotics for a day now....

The craziness doesn't seem to be slowing down any. Thursday night we have Terminator: Salvation opening (late night, I'm sure!). Friday we head off to the mountains camping for 3 days. Still have tons to get done before we head to the hills! AND...let's not forget work! Shhheeeeez....

Have a great day guys!

P90X - Round 2, Day 27, 28 & 29 - Nothing!

OK...honesty check here. Friday we skipped Yoga, and I can't even remember why!! Saturday we went out to dinner with friends, and Sunday I just plaint felt horrible! So? How do you like the excuses?? There's plenty out there! :O)

We actually should have done chest, shoulders and triceps last night (my favorite workout!!), but we've all been trying to fight off some kind of bug floating through our home. Me, having the weakest immune system in history, ended up taking the brunt of it. No fever, but head congestion, cough, sneezing, runny nose....yeah, a bad cold! Alana has been at work since Saturday, working a 4 day stretch!! (ouch)

Back to work for me today (if they let me stay, with this cold!). I'll try and get caught up on everyone's blogs today!! Hope everyone is doing well....

P90X - Round 2, Day 26 - Core Synergistics

Just dropping a quick post to say "I'm still here", and "I did Core last night". Great workout last night. Alana joined me for the first time in a few days and it was great! The competition was ON! This is a cardio workout though, so all-in-all, she probably kicked my butt! But I think I hung in there pretty good!!

Running late...gotta go! Have a GREAT day everyone!! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 24 & 25 - Kenpo/Stretch

MAN..behind AGAIN! Anyway....had a GREAT Kenpo workout yesterday. Alana had to work late, so she bailed, but I think my intensity was pretty high, ever without her motivation for this one! Must have been, 'cuz I sweat TONS! Of course I had just watched Death Race, so I guess I needed to take out a little aggression....poor 'air'!

Tonight I did the Stretch X DVD. I just love the way you feel after this one....like a bowl of jello! Jello...mmmm......Anyway. I'm a little worried what next week will bring. My left wrist has been having a bunch of pain in it. It's almost unbearable just hanging out in the "plank" position. I was hoping that the Stretch would loosen it up a bit, but it hasn't...yet.

P90X - Round 2, Day 23 - Core Synergistics

WHAT???!!! From Day 18 to day 23??

OK, OK...so I've fallen down on my posting duties. Sorry. But, yes. Day 23. Alana and I are into our first rest week since starting round 2 of P90X. Has it really been that long since I did this workout? Man was this ever a sweat-fest tonight!! Alana didn't make the workout. She was in bed at 6PM tonight. She helped our friend Jaycee, deliver their third daughter. Unfortunately, it started at 10:30PM last night, and then little Morgan came around 3:30AM. Alana got home around 5AM this morning and was asleep by 5:02AM...oh, and did I mention she worked a 12 hour shift at the hospital the day before...on Mother's Day???? (What a GREAT wife and mother we have in her!!). So, I believe she had a well deserved night off! PLUS....yeah she's working again tomorrow.

Hey, if you guys haven't stopped in to meet Rob and Barb, please do so! They need everyone's encouragement! As most of you know, you can't do this extreme workout program all on your own! We need each other!

Everyone welcome Dr. Rob and Barb to the "X"

Hey guys...Jeremy called today to make sure I wasn't dead (you know...since I haven't posted in a while), and I'm glad to say, "I'm NOT dead!"... :O)

Just a quick note to let everyone know that Dr. Rob and his wife Barb have started blogging about their journey with P90X! I've had so much support from everyone here, I just wanted to send everyone a quick note to be sure and stop in and say "hi" to them!

WELCOME GUYS!!

P90X - Round 2, Day 18 - Cardio X

Once again, with the busy schedule...we opted for the Cardio X workout. You know, Alana and I both were feeling good during this workout, and I think we did probably twice as much as they did in the DVD! Are they really bringin' it during this DVD?? Oh well...we "burned the goo" to the MAX!

Short post...gotta go get caught up on everyone else's blogs!! SEE YA! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 17 - Shoulders, arms and ARX

OK. I proved Tony wrong. I did 26 side-tri rise on at the end of the workout, and he did not come to my house!! He said he would! Oh well....

I actually moved up in weight on ALL my triceps exercises. WOO HOO! I've always been a big fan of triceps exercises. You know, the glamour muscles everyone wants?? Most people always focus on biceps exercises, but the triceps make up 2/3 of your arm size...so hit your tri's people!!

Also...finally...FINALLY! I did ALL 25 of those %&^)*! Fifer Scissors! 349 ab ripping exercises...in the books!

Also...my cousin Jared just purchased the P90X program, and he's getting psyched to BRING IT big time!! I'm gonna try and get him blogging so he can take advantage of all of the GREAT support that I've received from all of you guys! Wish me luck!

P90X - Round 2, Day 16 - Plyometrics

Alana asked while we were doing this workout last night, "Does this workout EVER get any easier!"...my answer: no. Once again, the sweat fest was on! She can still "bring it" WAY better than I (thanks to my wimpy legs!), then again, I am way better at this than when I first started. Easier? No. Just better....make sense?

So I'm hearing that more and more people are checking out P90X and BeachBody. Well...quit checking it out! Get on board!! Summer's coming and if you want to get ripped, get started! There's plenty of us that are available coaches for you, including myself. Check out Jeremy, Christina or Fred, as well!

P90X - Round 2, Day 15 - Chest, Back and ARX

Starting week 3, round 2 of P90X. Time flies when you're having fun!! CRUSHED this workout last night. I don't know where all the energy came from (maybe I needed that day of nothingness yesterday!!), but I was feeling good last night for this workout! 274 push ups. 50 pull ups (chair free!). 249 ab ripping exercises....felt great! Alana was feeling pretty good herself, and did more than her usual numbers!

I'm finding that with this new healthy lifestyle, pretty much anything I put into my body is getting incinerated! Since starting round 2, I haven't been very strict with my diet, over the weekends. Although, I'm still losing, or maintaining my weight of around 185lbs - 190lbs.

Still bringing it!!!

P90X - Round 2, Day 14 - Rest

So I wasn't going to post anything for my rest day...cuz'....I seriously did NOTHING! But, I did go to the dollar show with a buddy of mine to see the movie Taken. That movie was AWESOME! He kicks butt as good Jason Bourne!! And did anyone else catch it when he used the "Sword/Hammer" move on one of the bad guys?? Like Tony says, "...wanna end the fight?" :O) Anyway...good movie. I highly recommend it!

Saturday, May 2, 2009

P90X - Round 2, Day 13 - Kenpo X

Kick. Punch. Swing. SWORD, HAMMER! I love it!! I seriously think that I could take down ANYone with that sword/hammer move!! Think being the key word there! I sent Alana to bed around 7:30PM. She has just had a rough week and not gotten much sleep. And we all know how grumpy people get without sleep, right? So...I gave her a pep talk about "not worrying about missing a workout or two...get some sleep!"...

After the workout, I thought I'd play a little XBOX, but my network connection wasn't working. After I finally got it up and running, I played for about an hour, then another buddy of mine wanted to go see Wolverine. It was another one of those "he really needed to get out of the house" moments, so I couldn't let him down. Soooo, we went to the midnight showing. GREAT movie by the way! I'm a huge fan of the super hero movies, and this one didn't disappoint! ..And "yes", I ate MORE of the BAD, BAD popcorn at the movie theater.

Speaking of that...I'm having a bit of a dilemma. I'm thinking that I'm in need of a diet adjustment. I'm pretty sure that my body is now burning up everything that I put in it!! I weighed in this morning at 185 lbs!!! Yikes! I'm thinking I'll be upping the calories here sooner than later!

RedDawg: if you're up Saturday night, look for me on XBOX! (hint-hint) :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 12 - Legs, back and ARX

Well, I plowed through this workout, not really feeling the intensity, but definitely feeling the burn! My reps/weight aren't showing much improvement with this workout (mostly in the 'legs' area). I think I'm unintentionally not getting the reps with the pull ups, due to the pinched nerve from last week! Gotta get over that!! ALSO, the biggest de-motivator tonight, was the fact that Alana worked a late shift tonight. So she wasn't here to give me that competition that I need to push myself during this workout...or well. Did my best. Forgetting the rest! Goodnight all...

The Voca People

OK. I just HAD to post this for you guys. My son, Adam, wanted me to see this. His music teacher showed it to the class today...very cool!

P90X - Round 2, Day 11 - Cardio X

Taking a break from Yoga (I know! Hard to believe, huh?)...we did the cardio X workout last night. I have to admit, I wasn't that all into the workout last night, then the Kenpo part of the workout kicked (pun intended!) in!! That brought me up to speed! The sweat started pouring then!! NICE! Turned out to be a great workout after all! All ya gotta do is "push play"!!

THEN (confession time!): I went with a friend of mine to see a late movie. He really has been having some troubles hit him, and just needed to get out, pray, talk....anyway, we went to see "Observe and Report". Very crude, rude, offensive...we laughed our arses off!! :O) AND...(here's another confession!), I ate an entire bag (small!) of popcorn WITH butter!! I know, I know...just no one tell Tony, OK?? :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 10 - Shoulders, Arms and ARX

I love this workout! My arms feel like lead weights afterwards, but my biceps and triceps feel like SOLID rocks! Alana wasn't feeling the best, but still did an awesome workout! Kudos to her!! In fact, when she plays around, punching me in the arms, it actually hurts a little now. Of course, when you hit a ROCK..... :O)

It's funny how while Alana and I are working out, one of the strong motivating factors, is our P90X Recovery Drink! If you haven't tried it yet, stop procrastinating. Get it! You won't regret it!

P90X - Round 2, Day 8 - Chest, Back and ARX

With the boys continuing their assault on my neck (probably more in the hunt for some kind of reward, rather than out of love for their father), I think the healing is pretty much complete. I decided to rid my body of the Alieve that I've been taking all weekend, and sweat off some goo! Kind of. I did take it pretty easy during the workout. I was a bit afraid of what the pull ups would feel like. But all in all, it was a good workout. I feel much better, and think...no...know that I'll be more than ready to bring it tomorrow for Plyo! Been a long weekend, and I'm off to bed now...good night all!

Oh and by the way: Yes. I did in fact reward the boys for their hard work (literally) on my neck! I bought them both a gift tonight while they were at Awana's and gave it to them before bed. Along with my sincere appreciation for what they did for me.

OK. All together now: Awwwwwwww
:O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 7 - MORE Rest!

OK, OK! I get the hint!! I'll rest a bit more! Geeemeeney! I'll admit, it was probably the worst pinched nerve I've ever had, but I have to say, I think it also has healed faster than any other time that I've ever gotten these...could it be that I'm actually fit??...Adam and Noah, my 2 boys, have been absolute Angels in my healing process!! Both of the have rubbed my neck on many occasions these past couple of days (and do a pretty good job I might add!), since Alana has had to work all weekend! Hey...come on, if the wife's not here to take care of me, well...isn't that what kids are for?? :O)

So I decided to listen to everyone, and not push it. I took off another day for rest and healing. I basically read ALL day! For anyone who's interested, I started reading a book called This Present Darkness by Frank E. Peretti. WHAT a book!! It's has to do with Spiritual Warfare that goes on around us every day, and how powerful a weapon prayer can be. A truly gripping read...as evidenced by me basically not putting it down for 12 hours...or so.

Don't worry...even though I rested and basically did nothing, I still fed the kids. I think.

Saturday, April 25, 2009

P90X - Round 2, Day 6 - Rest

So having a pinched nerve in your neck is NOT FUN! I had to endure a grueling day at work today, driving down to Colorado Springs (an hour's drive), and seeing patients all day, while I moved around looking like a robot. It's now Saturday morning and I still can't turn my head from side to side (very well, anyway!) without it hurting. I haven't ventured out to get the Tiger Balm as everyone has suggested I do, so maybe today. I'm getting pretty tired of taking Alieve...although that does seem to help. It's cloudy and overcast today, so I may just hang out in my jammies all day and do nothing. Oh yeah...I have 3 kids...guess that won't happen. Jeremy, hope you're feeling better! Christina, take care of that boy! Not a whole lot to post today.

P90X - Round 2, Day 5 - Legs, Back and ARX

Today I give you a lesson in listening to your body. "LISTEN TO YOUR BODY PEOPLE!". Last night, I didn't. I really wasn't in the mood for working out last night. I was VERY tired for some reason, and just wanted to crawl into bed. I've been fighting a 'scratchy' throat (nothing serious yet), and loading up with some vitamin C, to try and avoid a cold. While we were working out, my intensity was somewhere around 10% maybe, and I was still griping about my knees hurting, I was sore...blah, blah, blah. Then, we went downstairs for the very last set of 'switch grip pull ups', which I banged out 3, yes...t-h-r-e-e (with a chair no doubt!), and as I lifted my foot to the first stair to come back up, I nearly fell over in pain. SERIOUS pain! I was nearly in tears. I felt a sort of tightening in my neck for a second or two, then BAM, my hand was on my neck so fast I didn't know what had happened. I'm describing a pinched nerve. I've had them before. Even in this same area of my neck, but never to the extent of this one. Alana was even considering taking me to the hospital, seeing the pain I was in. Even as I type this the next morning, I'm still hurting! I know there isn't anything I can do or take for it. I've been to Chiropractors, doctors and massage therapists before for this, to no avail. I know I have to just 'ride it out'. I think my body was trying to tell me to just take it easy last night, but I wouldn't listen. "LISTEN TO YOUR BODY PEOPLE!". The workouts will be there waiting for you when your ready. Don't feel bad about taking a day off when you need it. If you don't, you'll run the risk of having to take, maybe more thank a day off!

P90X - Round 2, Day 4 - Yoga X

So Alana opted out of the workout last night (L-O-N-G night the night before for her). She was just too tired! So I had already made up my mind, and convinced myself that I'd be doing Yoga. So I pushed play at 9pm last night, getting off to a late start (for me). I found it wasn't quite as difficult as usual. hmmmmmm...and since Jeremy has convinced me to put a video together for the next infomercial, I even filmed a little (mainly to prove to everyone that yes, I actually do yoga!). Held the 'crane' pose for I don't know how many seconds (I'd have to check the video), but it felt great!

I think this weekend I'll try and piece together the video clips I have and get them sent in. I don't know if I'm brave enough to post it here, like Demi did on her blog (GREAT job, by the way!). We'll see...

Thought I'd pull a "Jeremy" here and fill you guys in on a bit from our Bible study this week. I've just been amazed with this:

1 Peter 1:1,2
1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God's elect, strangers in the world, scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, 2who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

I thought, what does this mean? Does God really choose us, or do we chose to be A Christian. Have any of you thought this too? What is foreknowledge? What does Peter mean through the sanctifying work of the Spirit. So, here goes my attempt to understand.

ForeknowledgeProginosko the Greek word for foreknowledge means to know beforehand. “For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among the brethren.” (Romans 8:28-30)

By foresight, God saw the faith by which some would believe.

Those whom God elected, He engaged in a conscious, loving relationship.” (Romans 8:28)

Elected – to pick out or choose. “He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world.” (Eph 1:4) This totally blows my mind that we were chosen, not because of merit, but simply due to grace, since I am so undeserving.

The big question that I had in a previous study, when we were reading Ephesians and discussing this subject was – Why me? Has anyone ever thought that before. Or, is it fair that I was elected and others weren’t. Maybe this will help: Paul said – "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” (Acts 16:31) So not only are you predestined or elected, but you choose as well. Both are true.

Sanctification – To Sanctify means to set apart. God wants us to be separated from our sins and set apart for the Savior. God wants us to live holy lives, avoid sexual immorality and control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, and not wrong his brother. The Holy Spirit does this to us!

And this is just the first 2 verses!!!! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 3 - Shoulders and Arms, AbRipper X

MAN do I love working arms!! They feel like ROCKS half way through the workout, then, you get another half of the workout out to totally kill 'em!!! Love, love, love IT!

We had one of our friends over last night, who was actually trying to get his daughter to go to bed (long story...), anyway....he came downstairs just before we started the 'side-tri rise' exercise. Soooo, we told him to 'get on the floor' and do these with us. He started cranking them out like they were nothing! Then it dawned on me, he weighs about 100 lbs and he hadn't been working out for the past 40 minutes! Anyway...he was feeling pretty good, so he finished the workout with us, which was about another 10 minutes or so...I heard a few "grunts" from him, to go along with the strange looks on his face. Then came AbRipper. He wanted to do that too...I think he made it to the crunchy frogs (barely), then said, "you guys are crazy!"..."ouch!". That just spurred Alana and I to push even harder....gotta 'show off' ya know!

When we finished, we told him the first time we did this, we probably ended up watching more than actually working out. I think his interest is piqued! How about you??? :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 2 - Plyometrics

I've forgotten how much I dislike Tony. "You can do anything 30 seconds...15 tiny little seconds seconds....9 tiny little seconds..." blah, blah, blah. Is he for real??...all I could say after this was "OUCH"!

I'm back to my whining stage. Can ya tell? :O) When all was said and done, I sweat more than the entire previous 90 days! I looked in my sweat bucket (imaginary guys! That'd just be gross!), and I saw a bag of jelly beans, 5 or 6 pieces of pizza, 2 pieces of cake, 4 beers, about a half dozen chocolate "crunch" eggs, and a few marsh mellow 'peeps'!! ....guess that took care of my "rest" week!

Back to my opening statement: YES. P90X is for real! Despite the whining, the pain, and the annoying "Tony-isms"....It WORKS! For anyone just starting out, thinking I can't do this, or this is just too hard, stick with it, eat clean and join a chat room or start a blog, or better yet, sign up for a free BeachBody account here, and get yourself involved. Decide. Commit. Succeed.

Oh and by the way...I feel GREAT this morning! :O)

P90X - Round 2, Day 1 - Chest, Back and AbRipper X

Well I took the meaning of "rest week" to a whole new level!! I didn't do JACK! Much less, post or keep a very clean diet! But I'm BACK! Oh, and by the way...OUCH!

WOW. I will NOT be taking a rest like that again! After we started round 2 yesterday, I could barely make it through the workout! I actually thought I was gonna puke!! Had the watery mouth and everything!! We had to take a break and do Abs later on in the evening!!! Now, I tell everyone this, to promote the P90X Recovery Drink! I put that drink to the test yesterday. I thought it was just a 'taste good, feel good' thing we did after all of the workouts. I'm telling you, after feeling like I did yesterday, then slamming the recovery drink afterwards...I felt GREAT!! No LIE!!! Like I said...I'm back!

I also had time to get my post P90X pictures done. We've somehow lost our measuring tape, so I haven't actually done measurements yet (OR my post test for that matter!!...REST WEEK!). I did take my body fat measurements (as accurate as the calipers can be, anyway!). So I started at 24.7% body fat, and after was at 9.6% body fat!!! WOO-HOO! Alright...here's the pics. Don't laugh!

P90X - Motivation

Got my motivation call from BeachBody today...well, OK. From Jeremy (thanks buddy!). I actually felt pretty fired up! I had a super long day, driving all over the Springs today, and then a l-o-n-g drive home. In fact, I drove for so long today, I actually drove through all four seasons! It was sunny (at times), then it rained, sleeted, snowed, and at one point I drove through fog so thick I could barely see the front of the car! Now we're waiting to see if we are gonna get the 14"-20" that they're predicting on the weather!! However, it's Colorado, so we could just barely see a sprinkle...
:O)

I am soooooooooo ready to start round 2....but then again, who's stopping me??

P90X - Tween stage (Day 94)

Well...the "down time" from the workouts is killing me! I want to work out, but I've found myself making excuses, and just generally being lazy!! Am I falling back into my old ways so soon??? The nutrition has gotten pretty 'lax'. Generally feeling 'tired' again....whaz'up??!!

Alright, alright. We have been pretty busy for the past few days. Easter. Late work nights. Last night we went to see the UNITED tour with Michael W. Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman down in Colorado Springs. QUITE the concert. I'm not a big MWS fan, but he was pretty good last night. SCC on the other hand, was awesome! WHAT a testimony that guy has!! TOO much to say on here...or more like I'm too lazy to type everything out here! :O)

Anyway. I think we're going to get our "post" P90X test/measurements/pics done in the next couple of days, so I'll keep everyone posted. Please pray that my motivation gets back to where it should be!

P90X - Day 90 - Cardio X!

Thought I was gonna say "Yoga" didn't ya??? :O)

Nope. I had all intentions of doing yoga today, but after talking with Jeremy, and Alana really not wanting to workout for and hour and a half, we decided to go out with Cardio! I was "bringing it" more than ever!!! The guilt from the bad food choices kept popping into my head, making me push even that much harder!! It was awesome!!! I'm pretty sure I sweat out everything I put in yesterday!

While it feels great to be done with these 90 days, I feel a bit sad that I won't be working out tomorrow. Or the next day, or the next day, or the next day....Can I really do this??? I guess time will tell. I'm already thinking about the next 90 days!!

Guess we'll be taking the 90 day pics before too long. I'll be sure and get everything posted. Along with the post test results and measurements. I hope the results are as impressive as the Branson's, who have kept me going through this whole thing! If you're reading this, and you're new here, check 'em out over at:

http://branson90x.blogspot.com

and

http://christinabranson.blogspot.com/

...these guys are awesome. They have provided me with encouragement both physically and spiritually. Great, great people. "Thanks" guys! :O)

Well, that was my Oprah moment for the day! Off to shower now, cuz' I stink! HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!!! DAY 90!! WOO-HOO!!!!!!

P90X - Day 89 - Rest X

Yeah. That's right, "REST X"! Alana had a well deserved "girls night out" last night. So we spent the night at our friends house last night. While me and the other hubby had all of the kids (still REST X!), we played XBOX all night log...literally. I will confess my sins (for eating) now. I had 2 beers, 3 pieces of pizza, and a candy bar last night! I know. I know. Hard to believe, isn't it? Oh well....last day-itus I guess....

On to the final day!

P90X - Day 88 - X Stretch

Ahhhhhhhhh....."All you have to do is breathe".....Although, I don't know how play dough girl Shawna stretches like she does. I don't think that girl has any bones!! Anyway, great stretch as usual. The shoulder stand to plough, is becoming quite easy now! I remember in some of my earlier posts, complaining about "dropping your knees beside your ears"...yeah, Alana and I both did that one last night: no problem! It's truly amazing to see what 90 days of this program will do for you! In fact, a LOT of my earlier posts were a whole bunch of whining and complaining out of me....

I can't wait to see my "post test" results! I started out with ONE pull up (I think??), and certainly wasn't very flexible! Core Synergistics tonight....

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! I have a pair of dress pants that I haven't worn in 4 years (YES! I've kept them that long! I'm a guy!!)...anyway, I grabbed them just on a whim yesterday morning, getting dressed for work....yeah, they're loose!!!! LOVIN' this P90X!!!!
:O)

P90X - Day 87 - Kenpo X

Hmmmm.....seems like we just did this workout! Yet...I feel like the intensity is getting higher and higher!! Awesome workout last night! Alana and I were both saying, how when we bend to the side, our sides feel like ROCKS! No flexing of the abs or anything....just tight, tight, TIGHT! What an amazing feeling, since I'm so used to feeling those soft love handles, for sooooo many years! YES! Just 2 more days to go until graduation. TWO MORE DAYS! Who'd a thunk it? We are actually gonna see this thing through....

Well, gotta get caught up with everyone else's blogs today. Have a GREAT day all! :O)

P90X - Day 86 - YogaX (yes.....YOGA!)

Well believe it or not, I did this hour and a half long workout, that I like the least of ALL the workouts, all by myself tonight.....and it was GREAT!

Yes. You heard me right, "GREAT". Still had to stop after Warrior 3 (can't do all that stand on one leg and split stuff'!), but then picked it right back up at the 'last vinyasa'. I think I had a real bring it attitude tonight because I needed the time by myself, to clear the mind. After a B-U-S-Y day at work today, the frustration of this week long ear infection with Kiera, the boys arguing all evening, and finally Noah (our 7 year old) driving us right to the 'breaking point', and entertaining guests in the house since last Friday, Alana and I both needed to "chill"...Alana has worked 12 hour shifts all weekend at the hospital, did another 1/2 day today, and has to go back in at 7am for another 12 tomorrow, so she opted out of the Yoga tonight. She deserves it! She's beat and needs her rest. I needed the yoga. BOY do I feel better now!

PS - Everyone remind me of how good this yoga made me feel tonight, because I know I have one more day of it before graduation! :O)

Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. - Ephesians 6:4

Just had to remind myself of that again!

P90X - Day 85 - Core Synergistics

Day 1 of our final week...for round 1 that is! With Alana working a 12 hour shift at the hospital today, we had to switch up the days a bit. Instead of doing the Yoga, we did the Core Synergistics DVD. Man, how quickly you forget what an AWESOME workout this one is! At the end, Tony says "...you might find that this is your favorite workout"....hmmmm, seems like I keep finding favorite workouts!! We weren't real good about logging these workouts, so it was kind of hard to tell if we increased/decreased in reps/weight...bad....write it down people! I'm pretty sure we gave it our all though. With this being the last week, I'm very alert to "short-itus" (thanks Jeremy!). I want to focus on bringing more than I have over the past 84 days!! Which is gonna be a task in itself!

Dr. Rob informed me that he received his P90X in the mail over the weekend. I'm gonna try and get him hooked up with blogging, so we can all hold him accountable! Rob: get ready....cuz' it's coming! :O)

P90X - Day 84 - StretchX AND RestX

Well I managed to get the stretch X DVD in, AND still have time for some rest X in the afternoon! Held the corpse pose for about an hour and felt GREAT afterwards! The stretch is SUCH a good (workout?) thing! I am pumped and ready to start the final week of round 1! Alana worked yesterday, so she missed out on the stretch, however, I'm pretty sure she got in the rest last night! Not to much to say today, other than I am ready to bring it tonight when Alana gets home!!! Have a blessed day everyone! :O)

P90X - Day 83 - Kenpo X

Good workout. I've loved this one from the start. I think we're definitely ready for a break though. Alana and I were both complaining about "oh this hurts when I do that", or "oh that hurts when I do this"...We made sure to keep each other accountable though, and not just go through the motions.

I may have a couple of other people joining the P90X crew! Some of the guys at work are very interested in the program, and are looking to get that 'beach body' before the summer hits. I'll tell them and anyone else reading this: now is the time! If you're just 'thinking' about starting the program, and you're head is full of doubt (like mine was!), GET OVER IT! Just do it! You won't regret it, I can promise you that! Check out www.pricefamilyfitness.com for more info!

Well, today Alana is working. The kids all have birthday parties. So I think I'm going to try and hit some Stretch X to get limbered up for the final core (i.e. rest) week! I just hope my body doesn't fall into the 'corpse pose' and I sleep for a couple of hours instead...which is also a possibility today! :O)

P90X - Day 82 - Back, Legs and AbRipperX

Holy CRAP did I ever crush my back tonight!!!??? I'll answer that: "YES"!!! I'm not to sure what got into me, but I hit 62 friggin' no chair pull ups tonight!! YYYYEESSSSSSSSSSSSS! Then I hit 352 ab rippin' moves with Ab Ripper! Still only hit 22 on those dang "scissors", but I did 55 mason twists! Legs? Well, at least I kept up with the kids. Legs are still a weakness of mine, but with this new lifestyle, I'll be wearin' short shorts in no time! (kidding Jeremy!! Now's NOT the time to make you sick after the Outback, huh?)

Bransons, I'm so very proud of you guys! Day 90 today!!! GREAT job! You guys' pics look awesome! I've said it before, but I'll continue to sing your praises, for helping with my journey through this as well. I only hope I can inspire someone the way you guys have inspired me! Thank you.

Dead dawg tired, so I'm off to bed.
-out

P90X - Day 81 - CardioX

OK. So I don't think we can get away with this workout next week. You know, for our last week??!! We're going to have to suck it up, and make time for the Yoga X DVD! However, this is by far one of the most effective cardio workouts you'll ever get....as long as you bring it a little more than the guys on the DVD, that is! This workout is quick, simple, to the point, and gets you sweating enough to fill a bathtub! (ewwwww!). I thought Alana was gonna bail on this one last night, after being awake for most of the previous night with Kiera (ear infection confirmed!), but this is actually her favorite DVD, so she jumped in and gave it everything she had...which was a LOT! :O)

Jeremy, your wife confirmed my fears after watching your video clips ("jeeping")...you're NUTS dude! :O)

P90X - Day 80 - Back, Biceps and AbRipperX

Well....here goes the countdown! What a great workout we had last night. I went up on a couple of things (not as much as I would have liked for the last time....this time). Alana pushed it HARD. In fact I just talked to her, and she says her arms are killing her! I said GREAT! Yeah, I know...this workout thing kind of makes you 'sick'! ...but in a GOOD way! :O) As for sleep last night, neither of us had very much. Kiera (our 3 year old) was up ALL night with an earache...yuk. Seems like we've had bug, after bug, after bug in our household lately!

Jeremy, great talking with you last night. Thanks for the help on getting my new web page set up (www.pricefamilyfitness.com). Hopefully I'll be able to join you on some Jeep trails soon! After all, you Jeep guys will need A big 'ol Chevy to pull you guys out, when you get stuck! :O)

P90X - Day 79 - PLY-O-MET-RIXXXX Done!

Well, for the first round anyway! MAN did we ever BRING IT tonight! I guess it was because it was the "last" night for a while, that we'd be doing this workout...who knows. Anyway, had to call our latest recruit, Dr. Rob, and warn him about this one...Don't worry Rob: you get used to not being able to feel your legs! :O) (I'm kidding....sort of).

OK, so now I have to get to sleep fast (which shouldn't be a problem) because I have our men's group and Nehemiah chapter 11, at 6:30 in the morning. It's amazing how God can drag all of us guys up at such an early hour to study His Word! Praise God for that!!

Good night all...

P90X - Day 78 - Chest, Shoulders and Tris (w/ARX)

I've said it before. I'll say it again (and again, and again...): LOVE this workout! Even though I didn't feel the energy level was where I thought it should be, I brought it, BIG TIME! ALL exercises went up in weight/reps. 14 plyo push up's Jeremy! On my 15th, I actually landed but couldn't get my face back off the ground! :O( Alana is finally doing the "no knees" push ups, although when she gives out, she does hit her knees (GREAT for her!!!). She has always said that she couldn't do push ups like that...NOW look what she can do!

I've had an issue with my energy levels lately. Not sure what it is. But I have to figure it out soon! I've been OVERly tired ALL the time! Still getting in the workouts, but just haven't felt "right".???? We'll see. Could just be the simple fact of not getting enough sleep. We've been hitting our workouts pretty late in the evening, so we're gonna try and correct that this week. Could be the diet?? I have to take a closer look at that when I get the chance...Oh well. Next week is the "rest" week! Yeah right, rest???? :O)

Saturday, March 28, 2009

P90X - Day 77 - KenpoX

Well, we had a "bad" eating day today. We met some friends (mainly for the kids to get together) at a pizza place today. I had 2 BIG slices of meat (grease) laden pizza! Pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon. Meat, meat, meat! DANG was it ever good! Then it was off to praise band practice for 3 hours (I was asked to play this weekend!), then came home and ate meatloaf (not the singer!) and mashed potatoes. All that with only a MetRx shake and a banana for breakfast, made for some pretty poor intensity for tonight's workout. Still brought it. Still sweat. But just didn't feel like I was all there...weird huh? I did get to squeeze in the Recovery Drink. As they say on the DVD's: M-O-N-E-Y!

Jeremy. Dude. I know FULL well what you mean about the 'ole cheeks! Mine are killing me after doing legs and back last night. I also noticed my lats hurting more with the punches and blocks tonight. I guess that means I had a pretty good workout last night though, huh? Oh well. Tomorrow we get a break from the butt and back, and hit on the chest/shoulders/tris! ...I like! :O)

P90X - Day 76 - Legs and Back (& ARX)

Well after working yesterday, and watching a movie with the girls after working a 12 hour shift at the hospital, Alana decided on another RestXXXXXXXX day! She was pooped! Sooooo, while she has been zzzzzzz'ing, I did my best doing one of the workouts I dislike the most. I "brought it" though baby! I just checked to see exactly "no chair" pull up I did: 34! Woo- HOO! My back is on F-EYE-YA! Legs? Yeah well...it was legs.

Ab Ripper: FINALLY - 347 "ab ripping exercises". I missed the 349 by 2 on the Fifer scissors! But, it's coming!

Off to play a little XBOX and wind down a bit before bed...Jeremy: XBOX 360, World at War...but you never heard that from me! Christina would kill me if I got you hooked on that! ...oh wait. She's probably reading this too!....umm....."you didn't read a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g..."

P90X - Day 75 - Stretch X

Well, winter started today for us here in Denver! Blizzard conditions for most of the day. About a foot of snow...so far! (Praise God!!). Alana was working at the hospital today, but made it home safe, however, since I left work early, I've been home since 3 today. I figured, why not, and popped in the Stretch X DVD. Alana has a night out 'with the girls' and we had planned on our 'rest' day today...so I'm stuck at home...alone. :O(

Don't worry. I didn't loose my kids. Because Alana and I were both working today, we took them over to Aunt Nicky and Uncle Robb's house last night. I just couldn't get over to pick them up this afternoon, so they're staying another night.

So, I can NOT believe how flexible I've become! The "shoulder stand to plough"?? I can do it!! I still laugh when I hear Tony say, "...now just drop your knees down by your ears...". That just doesn't sound right. BUT, I can DO IT! The knee was still a bit sore for some of the stretches, but I ploughed through (pun intended!).

Oh and welcome Dr. Rob Byrum to the P90X gang!! His wife just ordered it for him! Rob is a long time friend of mine, and will be camping with us this June (when it's REAL hot here!). So, we're gonna be the 2 'buff' guys walking around the campsite this year! WOO-HOO!

P90X - Day 74 - CardioX

Alana absolutely gets "giddy" when we do this workout. She loves that it's such a short workout (in comparison to the rest!), and the amount of sweat produced, and just the overall workout you get from this!! For me? It's OK. I've never been a 'cardio' type guy, but I can't argue the fact, that when you do this workout, you can almost see the 'goo' melting away from your midsection! THAT, I love!

Well with the proven results of the P90X program, I've decided to take the step to become a BeachBody coach! I was quite the skeptic, with these sorts of 'workout' programs when Alana gave this to me for Christmas. But, I can't argue with the results (or the pictures!). This is definitely a great way to keep others motivated and show how ANYone can achieve his or her fitness goals with the help of others (thanks Branson's!!!!). If you're reading this and interested in becoming a coach, check out my site at
http://www.teambeachbody.com/kenewayne

Wow. Does that sound like a sales pitch or what!!?? Sorry. :O)

P90X - Day 73 - Shoulders and Arms (...and AbripperX!)

Well it was a little sad. That was the last time for this workout...well, for this round of the "X" anyway! :O)

This workout is M-O-N-E-Y! Shoulders and arms are what will show off all of this hard work, when putting ion the P90X tank top this summer!! I can't wait! Alana is loving the way she looks and feels. I tell ya, this P90X thing is absolutely the best thing that has happened for us in a long time! Not only do you end up looking great, but the way it makes you feel is wonderful! Not to mention healthy!

P90X - Day 72 - Plyo(uch)metrics

Yeah...now that my shoulder doesn't hurt anymore, my left knee keeps saying "don't forget about me!"...It's KILLING me! I don't know what I've done to it (other than just getting 'old'), but I'm now wearing a brace on it. If it doesn't heal up soon, I fear I may have to visit the (yup, I'm gonna say it!) doctor! Alana told me to take it easy and "modify" last night. I did for the most part, but when I have the brace on, it doesn't hurt as bad. So I'm sure I probably pushed it harder that I should have...oh well...as Tony says, "You can do anything for 30 seconds!"...Sweat gone! MAN do you ever sweat during this workout!!! Branson's?? You're lucky to be done with this workout. I can't wait to say that! ...oh wait, I think I've already committed to another 90 days! ...Dummy.

P90X - Day 71 - Chest and Back and ARX!

Man! I've forgotten how hard this workout was!! (Maybe it was the 6 mile hike we did earlier in the day???) Weird, but my biceps were so pumped up after doing this workout, they felt like it was ARM day! I'm pretty sure that's an indicator I was doing something wrong! Anyway, felt great afterwards, so I guess it's OK.

"This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24

Let me tell you, Sunday? We rejoiced!!! We started out with church in the morning. After hearing a GREAT message, we ran home and grabbed a quick bite to eat, then decided to all go on a hike. Just the family! We ended up hiking to the top of Carpenter's Peak in Roxborough Park. It's a 6 mile hike round trip, with a 1000 foot vertical gain! Kiera (my 3 1/2 year old) hiked the ENTIRE way up! I ended up carrying her the last 1/2 way down, but only because it was taking sooooo long! She's quite the trooper! Of course our boys loved it and had no trouble at all! Hiking in the wilderness is such a fantastic way to appreciate and enjoy all that God has made. And when you see images like this, who can deny that only God could have created such beauty??

P90X - Day 70 - Stretch X

I tell ya...I've been feeling so good lately, I just couldn't take a rest day today. Alana worked all day, so I had the kiddo's, and had every intention of resting....yeah right. 3 kids?? Nu-uh...

Had a bit of a break and thought, I could be doing stretchX right now...so I did. I was talking to my dad, telling him how great I feel, and how great this "P90X" thing is, and he wanted me to send him some pics. So I sent him my day 1 to day 60 pics, but the lighting was wrong for the 60 day pics, and they just really didn't look all that good. So I pulled up my shirt and took a new pic. I sent him these 2 below. The first one is day 1 (how embarrassing). The second is day 70 (no longer embarrassed!):

P90X is worth every dime! It works!! :O)

P90X - Day 69 - KenpoX

My favorite. I always picture Jason Statham from the Transporter movies during this workout. I love those movies (you've probably figured out, I'm a big movie guy!). I felt like the intensity was more than it's ever been last night. My legs were still killing me from the night before, but I pushed through it, just made them hurt more, and got even more fired up!! I think if Arnold (the governor) Schwartzneger was standing in my way during the "sword/hammer", I could have taken him down!! And if someone had walked behind me during back kicks?? They would have flow across the room....well, OK. But that's how I felt anyway! :O)

I also have to add: I started taking a supplement (not a super fan of supplements, but heard good things about this one) called "Arson" by Muscle Asylum Project (i.e. Muscletech). It's supposed to 'incinerate' fat and give you more energy. I wonder if that had anything to do with my intensity last night??? I'll keep you posted! I also found an interesting read called "the Cut Diet". You can check it out here: http://cutdiet.com/. Good stuff.

I've been so happy with the results from the P90X, I'm just looking for that little extra something to help me in the body fat/abs section during these last few weeks. Legally and safely, that is!

P90X - Day 68 - Legs and Back, and AbRipperX

I hate the leg workout. Did it, but hate it. I don't even like it a little! Hate it. OK...now that that point has been made...

I really try to "bring it" for these workouts (legs), but the intensity never seems to find me. Alana on the other hand is a monster on the legs workout. The back portion of this workout however: I think I did more "no chair" pull ups than I've ever done! And not just by a few!! My back was feeling great last night for this workout!!

I'm just about hitting all the ab reps that they do in the DVD. Still having trouble with the Pfifer scissors, and the oblique v-ups. I'll get there.

The fat seems to just be melting away on a daily basis, which feels GREAT!! I'm down to 189 to 192, at any given point during the day. I haven't been this fit since the Army!! Off to kick some Kenpo but tonight, the watching The Punisher: War Zone, with a couple of buddies....What guy could resist a movie with a title like that??? :O)

P90X - Day 67 - Cardio X (rewind)

Still playing catch up from last week, we opted out of the Yoga (again!). I think that we will need to hit the Yoga again, as I feel that something is missing...hmmmmm. Don't get me wrong, the CardioX makes Alana and I both sweat bucket fulls!! But I think the Yoga would be good for us again....all one and a half hours of it!! No ailments hit us this week, and we're back on track towards our graduation day!! Intensity: check. Focus: check. Starting to see those abs: check!!! It's getting there! :O)

P90X - Day 66 - Back, Biceps and ARX (Rewind)

OK. Rather than posting how I felt after this workout, I figured I would just show you how I felt:

'Nuf said.

P90X - Day 65 - Plyometrics (rewind)

OK. I can say without a doubt, that I sweat more than I ever have before (if that's possible??). Plyo is definitely the epitome of Tony's phrase "it's a love/hate thing"! I hate this workout. But I burn SOOOOO many calories with Plyo, and feel soooo good the next day, that I LOVE it! Alana still kicks my butt at anything having to do with legs....good for her! Off to work now....later.

P90X - Day 64 (rewind!) - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and ARX!

YYYYYEEESSSSSSSS! W-E A-R-E B-A-C-K! Thank the Lord, our house is back to normal...well, as normal as it can be, anyway! We decided to start week 10 all over again, since our bout with the Flu. I'm bummed about missing those days (would this be considered an addiction, I wonder??), but feel great about 'pushing play' again! It was a great workout last night. We've had a few days off of doing absolutely nothing, and boy did it make a difference. Kicked butt on everything last night! Still hitting 10 on the "plyo" push ups. I even did 20 of the Pfifer Scissors, which has been a weakness of mine from the start!! WOO-HOO!! Anyway...not too much to say right now...just super excited to be back! :O)

P90X - Day 67 - CardioX/Stomach Flu X

Yup. Hit me like a ton of bricks last night. Alana went to bed early, still trying to recover from her bout with the flu, so I decided to hit the CardioX workout last night. Wasn't feeling great, but I just thought I needed to sweat a little. While the intensity was down, I still completed the workout, and thought to myself...my belly feels a little empty. I better have a recovery drink. Yeah...1:30AM? That recovery drink didn't taste so hot coming back up! PUKEAGE Jeremy! ALL NIGHT pukeage! I think I probably lost another 10 pounds! :O)

My diet today has consisted of 1/2 piece of toast, 3 cups of Ginger Ale, and 2 Alieve. While I barely have the energy to type this, I'll be skipping the workout tonight. In fact, Alana suggested that we just do this whole week over. Which in all reality is probably what we're gonna do. I'm going to hate getting that far "off track" with the Branson's, but I think it's probably best for us. Christina, thanks for the prayers! Stay healthy! Goodnight....

P90X - Day 66 - Back, Biceps and AbRipper X

Well....sickness has struck the P90X gang again! This time it's Alana! Adam (my 10 year old) had the stomach flu Monday (ALL day!). Alana had to work today and called me on her way home (after a 12 hour shift!)...yeah, you asked for pukeage Jeremy? You got it!! Needless to say, I hit the workout by myself tonight while she's trying to take it easy....

ANYway....My arms (once again) feel as if they're going to pop! Lats feel like rocks. In fact I felt so good, I decided to go ahead and post my 60 day pic:

I KNOW....Hard to believe, huh?

P90X - Day 65 - Plyometrics

Well, let me just start by saying that one should NEVER eat a naked chicken burrito from Qdoba 2 hours prior to this workout....bad idea. Calm down Jeremy...still no puke! But MAN did I ever "bonk" on this workout! My knee was giving me issues. I started getting a headache. And like I said...the Qdoba didn't sit so well...

Alana on the other hand was kicking it into high gear! She had an awesome workout! I think she was trying to keep me motivated just to get through it tonight...Oh well...there's always tomorrow. "Forgetting the rest" now....goodnight all...

P90X - Day 64 - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps & ARX!

Whew! That's a lot!!

Don't know if I've said it before, but this IS my favorite workout! My Tri's get so absolutely friggin' hard and pumped, they're as big as my legs!! Well...OK. But they feel like they're as big as my legs! And those "plyo" push ups??? L-O-V-E em! Went airborne for 10 tonight! Alana was freaking out! Speaking of Alana, she was doing the actual 'claps' on that set of push ups!! AWESOME! Overall, just a great workout today. Just got the kids in bed after a late night with Awana's, so we're beat as well....off to practice the corpse pose for about 8 hours. Wish me luck! :O)
